NYIGF Studio Preview: Piano Nobile

A fresh addition to this August's gift fair is Piano Nobile a Seattle-based design workshop founded by an artist and an architect.  Their work combines structure and surface design, fine art and fine craft.  In addition to textiles, they design and fabricate lighting, interiors, and architecture.  Piano Nobile is an Italian term the couple first heard in Venice, where life and work take place a few steps above the sea, up the stairs, in the living spaces of the home.

Showing at the Fair:

PIANO NOBILE TEXTILE TRAYS
Signed and numbered trays feature Piano Nobile's hand-printed patterns; a perfect compliment to their tea towels and napkins. The Textile Trays are made by hand in the USA, of BPA-free melamine.  Trays measure 12 x 14 inches.

PIANO NOBILE NAPKINS (pictured with the trays)
These all-natural cotton duck napkins are durable, lightweight, and casual enough for everyday use.  The studio considers the napkins as a portable format of their hand-printed fabric. All prints are made by hand using non-toxic, GOTS-certified ink.  Sold in a set of two napkins.  Napkins measure 14 x 14 inches.

Piano Nobile's work will be on view at the JOIN booth at the NYIGF. Find JOIN next to the American Design Club at the Jacob K. Javits Center, Lobby Level 2, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm August 19 - 21; 2:00 - 6:00 pm on August 22.
